    Web Authoring Tools

There are any number of tools you can use to help you write and format your Web pages. Some of them can significantly speed up and simplify the creation of your website. Tony takes a look at the editors.

Nowadays, many e-commerce websites do more business than traditional brick-and-mortar stores. You want to tap into that market, but you have one problem: your knowledge of HTML to create, publish and/or manage a website is virtually non-existent. Look no further; this article will outline the current trends in Web authoring tools, provide you with some examples of products and services that can compete with programs such as FrontPage and Dreamweaver, and show you where to go to find these technologies. Sit back, get comfortable and get ready to create your website!

One program to do it all?

The Web is still relatively new and the choices are far from clear. Many website creators want a single be-all and end-all program that will create the website they desire. Unfortunately, there is no preeminent tool for website authoring purposes on the market today.

Complicating the program decision further is the idea of approaching a Web project in many different ways, all resulting in one conclusion: you want the most excellent, most astounding website to convey your message to one and all. One way many developers approached this design project was the old-fashioned technique of writing the content and the HTML code that renders the page in the browser by hand, using a basic text editor.

Web page design software sped up the process, allowing developers to design the pages and add content, while the software generated the HTML on its own. The second approach resembles working with page layout software, in which you as the creator position text and images, but need never look at the programming code that generates the printed page.
