How to Choose a Budget Web Host - Step Two: Get a list of your options
(Page 2 of 4 )
This is your most basic research. You need to make a list of all of the hosts that have a package that will meet your needs. Don't worry about narrowing down the list for now. That will be taken care of later on; just make your way to the hosting comparison sites and find the hosts that will meet your needs.
You may need to visit the sites of those hosts in order to confirm that information. Nowhere is this more true than in the area of cost. Many hosting review sites will only give price information on the most basic of packages or will give you a cost range which is only very vaguely helpful.
Make your list with costs and get ready to move on to the second stage of your research, in which we will begin to narrow down that field of options and move you closer to your host.
Step Three: Narrow down options based on cost
Now that you have a list of options for your hosting, you can begin to rule out your options based on cost. What you do have in the way of a budget?
This will be the quickest and easiest of the cuts that you have to make in this process. Anything that is not in line with your budget will get crossed off of the list without any mercy or hesitation.
Just be sure that you are crossing them off for the right package. This is why you had to use the hosts' sites to get the complete and accurate set of pricing information.
Don't be afraid to be ruthless with your cutting. You can get in a lot of trouble with your bill if you pick a plan that costs more than you can actually afford.
