    Ubercart

Ubercart is an e-commerce module for Drupal that is absolutely loaded with features.  It works well with various types of sites, such as those that require membership, offer digital downloads, or sell actual physical products.

The real strength of Ubercart and the reason why it's so popular is the module's bevy of features.  Ubercart offers a catalog that you can easily configure to display your products and their different categories.  You can put your products on display thanks to multiple image support right out of the box.  The module handles order creation and processing, and it includes a single page checkout.  It also has an integrated payment system and is PayPal certified.  You can offer shipping quotes and fulfill shipments via FedEx, UPS, and the United States Postal Service.  To help you stay on top of things, there's activity logging and reports that give you details on your customers, products, and sales.  Besides the main module, there are a ton of other modules designed specifically to work with Ubercart that can help you maximize your site's e-commerce functionality.  In fact, there are a couple examples of such modules in this list of top e-commerce modules.

    e-Commerce

If descriptions were everything, you would think that the e-Commerce module is the only module you'd need for your site's e-commerce needs.  After all, it's described as being “the most complete e-commerce solution for Drupal.”  Actually, that could be true, as e-Commerce is packed with features to help you convert your simple website into an online store.

Using the e-Commerce module, you can customize themes for your product displays and your shopping cart.  The module is ideal for different website setups, as it allows you to sell products that will be shipped, digital downloads, and subscriptions.  You even have the option to sell products that can be customized during the shopping experience.  Recurring payments can be set up, as can donations.  Discounts, taxes, and other charges can be implemented to accommodate all types of sales.  Payment options such as PayPal, C.O.D., and others can be integrated, and the same is true for shipping.  Once a sale is made, invoice generation and email notifications will cover all parties involved.

You won't have to worry about keeping track of your stock, as there's a feature that will manage your inventory for you.  Repeat customers can view their order history, and you will have plenty of information at your disposal through sales summaries and other reports.  After viewing all of the e-Commerce module's features, it's easy to see why its creators are so confident of its abilities.

    Ubercart Discount Coupons

The module takes discounts and applies various twists that allow you to be creative.  At its most basic, you can use the module to offer discounts as a fixed amount or as a percentage.  You can also choose to offer discounts on certain products or classes of products.  Limitations can be placed as well in terms of expiration date or the maximum times in which a discount can be used.  If a new user registers on your site, you have the option to send them a new coupon via email.  The same holds true for users who have just purchased a product, as settings can be tweaked to offer them a coupon as a reward for their loyalty.

The biggest reason for using the AdSense module is that it handles the compatibility issues between Drupal and AdSense for Search.  Before you have ads go live on your site, the module will help troubleshoot to avoid any problems.  You get extra control over your ads in various ways.  You can block or disable certain ads, and there's also a feature in place that will prevent your site from displaying more ads than are allowed by Google.  Should Google make any script changes, you do not have to worry.  All you have to do is upgrade the module and your script will be updated across the site.

    Invoice

It's impossible to run a business or store properly if you do not keep proper records.  Organization is key, and you it's a good idea to have a standard format implemented when it comes to invoicing.  The Invoice Drupal module gives you the power to create and administer invoices with ease.  The module creates an invoice node type that, when used with the pathauto module, can automatically generate titles for the invoices.  In addition, there are various invoice templates that can be used.  This comes in handy if your company has multiple brand names.  Another plus of this module is that it lets you view invoices in full node view on your site, in HTML print view, or as a PDF document.

    UC Upsell

As you can probably tell by its name, UC Upsell is a Drupal module designed to work with Ubercart.  The module is used to help you institute the famous technique of up-selling onto your site.  Up-selling is where you try to sell upgrades or more expensive products to your customer in an effort to increase profitability.

Since you don't have the luxury of an actual breathing salesman on your site, having a tool like the Upsell module is a great luxury.  The way it works is simple.  If a person selects a product, the module will list related products as suggestions to pique their interest.  The related products can appear as a block on the shopping cart page or on the product pages themselves.  You can tweak the style of the module, and you also have the option to set the number of related products to be displayed.
