Is Clickfire the Only Honest Web Host Review Site? - Clickfire’s Unusual Honesty
(Page 2 of 4 )
Clickfire, whose supposed purpose is web wrangling for website owners, bloggers and social media lovers, is a small website that seems genuinely devoted to those who love building and growing websites from the ground up. So much so, in fact, that the site gave away free website templates for their tenth anniversary and has made it their main goal to offer free or low cost resources for those interested in building, managing and monetizing their website(s).
In an unusual move, Clickfire released a statement as recently as January 8, 2009 informing users and other interested parties that they have developed a surefire process, specifically designed to increase transparency and provide an alternative to review sites.
For all of the reasons stated earlier, it’s hard to trust a great number of the websites online that promise to provide legitimate reviews and lists of top web hosting companies. It is Clickfire’s goal to conduct extensive reviews of web hosting companies and act as an alternative to review sites that feature patently promotional reviews.
Essentially, Clickfire will be the one guaranteed reliable source online where users can be certain that the reviews offered are not influenced by web hosting marketers whose influence completely clouds objectivity, as is the case with many websites claiming to provide trustworthy web hosting reviews.
Not only does Clickfire walk the walk, but they talk the talk. Making a proclamation that they intend to be the one objective source of web hosting reviews on the Internet apparently wasn’t enough. The company has also laid out their extensive review process, which includes: standardization, experience, emphasis on testing and user feedback.
Emory Rowland, founder of Design Host Market, Inc., the parent company of Clickfire, believes it is of the utmost importance that users be given the option to make the most educated decision possible. "It is important for a serious review site to offer a process that enables visitors to make well-informed decisions and ultimately become more savvy consumers. The lack of critical, empirical Web host reviews does the industry a great disservice," Rowland said.
